Its like the clear 3M tape for the body (they do that too). I think it might be good

I think it would be a good thing for our headlights.. if it is easy removed without a mess like old duct tape leaves

It's just a thicker version of the usual 3M film you see in the front of cars and trucks.

I have a similar type of film on my fog lights after one got pelted by something on the 401 and shattered. They've held up.
