This was written about driving a turbocharged civic, but most of them go for any modified car...some of these had me laughing pretty hard
You know you drive a turbo Honda...
when you justify buying performance parts to your wife in the name of safety
when you feel that wheelspin is a logical way to overcome torque steer
when you look at every other car tryin to see a fmic
when your car is down atleast 180 days out of the year
When you drive around town with a laptop to datalog
When your injectors flow as much as a garden hose
when your economy car makes more power than a corvette
when you spend 10k on your car and still have no cruise control
when your economy car gets 12mpg
when you go through a drive-throu you have to turn off the car to order
when your street tires look like slicks
when the ups guy knows you by your first name
when the ups guy keeps asking if it's running yet
when you go through more setups then you do white socks
when you can drop a tranny quicker than you can change an air filter
when you know every spec and torque spec on your engine but cant remeber your wife's birthday
when you rationalize not carrying a spare tire because it's like 15 pounds
when your radio can't go loud enough to drown out the noise from the fuel pump
when the smell of oil burning doesn't bother you at all
when you don't have AC because it's almost 80 pounds
when your car doesn't start to make power until after the redline on most cars
when you spend countless hours thinking about how new parts will affect your current setup
when you have at least 4 10mm sockets in your tool box
when you spend more on tuning than you do on clothing for a year
when you have a beater as a spare car
when you can run it on a freeware
when you know what EGT stands for
when domestic parts become nessecary (gm 3 bar)
When 550cc injectors still aren't big enough
when the employees at the local parts store ask you for advise
when you buy most of your parts from forums
when the better deal is a PM away
when your wife is deathly afraid of you hitting vtec
when you can diagnose every single problem over the phone for your friends
when you have friends in neighboring states
when 15's are just the right size
When your wife says "Whats wrong with the engine already in the car"
When your wife says "Why do you need a BACKUP engine"
When your parents ask why there are black splatter markes on the driveway where you park
When you can smoke most V8s while running a stock exhaust
when you know exactly which bolts on your car are 10,12,14 and 17mm without even having to look at them
when 225/50/15 isn't quite big enough.
when you have rocks melted into your tires
when you have parts shipped to work so your wife doesn't find out
When everyone in your town knows you have a turbo but doesnt know your name
when your friends brag more about your car than their own
when your car is a local urban legend
