Spark Plugs - MAlby7 - 08-12-2004 I have a 2000 ZX3. I want to get better than factory spark plugs. Let me know what my options are, where I can get them, and how much do they cost. Thank you. Spark Plugs - darkpuppet - 08-12-2004 to be honest, you're not going to see any improvement over stock plugs unless you're FI (and then you need 1 step colder). better to save the money and just replace with stock platinums. Spark Plugs - Gumby - 08-12-2004 ngk PTR5A-13. Any performance shop can get them, but not canadian tire. They are the same idea as the motorcraft ones, they're just prettier. ps. Don't forget to gap them; use a feeler type gapping tool, the dial ones are hoplessly inaccurate. Crappy Tire? do you have an aversion to the dealership? When I deal with the parts guy directly he gives me everything dirt cheap... (my 1 step colder plugs set me back $12) Spark Plugs - scoobasteve - 08-12-2004 On a lighter note. every dealership i go to my oil filter costs something different... I paid 10.41 with tax today. last month 6.40. i really gotta buy a case of these. Spark Plugs - FocusGuy7476 - 08-16-2004 theres a sticker on the bottome of the hood that says what the gap should be. i think .051 Spark Plugs - Focus Is Art - 08-17-2004 Cantire won't have plug for you car, you will have to go to performance shop(NGK) or dealer(motorcraft P or colder) or Walmart in the state(autolite). Stock gap should be .051, but anywhere between .051 to .054 is fine. My suggestion is don't use colder plug w/out FI. I replaced my motorcraft platinums with Bosch Platinum +4. So far so good. Spark Plugs - ZX3TUNR - 02-23-2005 wonder what gap I should use with the blower |
