What I Have So Far - 2FST4U - 06-08-2007
I decided to look around a bit to see if I could do this any cheaper and found a new sub box with a 12 inch infinity sub with red trim. Looks nice but bigger than I wanted. It will take up a lot of space. He had a couple of amps but were too expensive for what I want to do.
So I went to crappy tire and bought a Sony 1200watt amp. It was 212 on sale.
They have another Sony there I may grab tonight too. It's 4 channel and 500 watts.
The other store had Fusion 5by7 Powerpack? 2way 120watts for 60 bucks a pair. I am not sure if I should take them or look for something else. Crappy tire had MTX brand for 120 a pair or so.
I figure with installation It should be around 800 or so.
I know the Sony brand isn't well thought of but I will never be pushing them near their limits or even close to it.
What worries me is if I will get enough midrange and highs out of the door speakers without being overpowered by bass.
I have to do this peice by peice or the wife will balk. Once I get everything I'll take it to an installer.
