There was a series of spots (4 I think) that Ford of Canada based on European ads. Ford Europe used the Desiree song "You Gotta Be" as their theme.

But they neglected to purchase the worldwide rights (or chose not to due to cost - the story varies) ... and so Ford of Canada engaged Lisa DalBello to write and compose the song you hear on this spot.

The music was arranged and recorded by RMW Toronto (the "W" is my brother) on behalf of Young & Rubicam, Ford's agency in Canada.

The ExpectMore campaign and that music were unique to Canada and won a number of awards for Y&R.
