Did he bleed out all the air?

could be air.
chances are he hasn't flushed his brake fluid, ever. this could also be from pushing the pistons back and forcing dirty fluid and rust past the seals in the master and then pumping up the pedal and cutting the seasl on that dirty and rust.
bleed all 4 corners and flush the entire brake system with 1L of fresh fluid. you could probably use less than 1L to flush the system but 1L insures you get all of the crap out!

a few checks to do...

with the car OFF
pump up the brake pedal, if the pedal stays soft then bleed the brakes.
if the pedal gets harder but the pedal sinks it's probably a master issue.

not being there to see what's going on it's ahrd to guess what the problem is.
do those checks and get back to me.

He never bled the brakes no.Before we never opened the bleeder to push the piston back to bleed brakes after chaning brakes, ever. He is going to bleed the brakes tomorrow to see if it helps. It's what we came to agree on, notin else it could really be but it's ceramic pads and we were wondering are they like that at first or what.

In our car here, with the car off i can pump the pedal about 3 times then it's like rock solid and i can barely push it with all my might. Does that sound normal for a brake system with 265000K on it that has never ever been flushed :D

I was thinking about bleeding the brakes anyway, but does 3 pumps then rock solid sound normal?

Ceramic pads are sloppy at first.. takes a bit of force to slow the car down... but it shouldn't feel spongey

well when I replaced the pads for the Hawk ones (no ceramic pads on my car)..and it felt spongy for a while..like the breakin in of them..so see if the bleed works and then..post what's up.

If the bleed doesn't help, get the car to a nice, very quiet open stretch of road, take it up to about 120, and bring the speed down as fast as you can without locking the wheels... it'll help the brakes set in...
