Flat Tires This Morning
#1
So...Im on the 407 this morning heading onto the 400 south bound...and I ran over a 2 x 4 or something..it was kind of hard to avoid...I had really no to place to go...swerve to the left and Im into the car next to me...swerve to the right and Im in the ditch....

I've still got the original stock Firestone GTA...I commute from the east end (100 kms round trip) My ride: 2002 ZX5... with 102,000kms....Ive probably put about say 75,000kms on the stockers and 30,000 on my winter Hakkas

I've got probably a little less that 1/8" of an inch left of tread left on the stockers.

So..heres my question...anyone have any recommendations on what would be a good tire for everyday commuting...best bang for the buck?

Anyways...I've got to get it checked out this afternoon to see if its repairable...either plug of patched..thats for the drivers side front and rear...really sucks... What a way to start a Monday!

Your opinions are greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

I got all 4 of my khumos for under $400.00 taxes in.

Great tire, pretty noisy though, but for 4/under $400. I'll take it.

Got them at Volvo Saint-Laurent in Ottawa. They are specifically the Khumo Supra 712's. Size: 50-15-205. a freind used to work there so Im not sure if gave me a deal or what.

I just had a nail go threw on of them and had to replace the 1 tire. Since my freind doesnt work there anymore, I had to go to another place. I ended up paying $155 for the 1 tire.

If you buy 4, they tend to knock the price down quite a bit.

Talk to Bob (rubberman). I've got more rubber than you can shake a stick at off him and all of it has been great quality for the money.

I just got a full set of the same tire size all around my car with Aurora H107's really nice ride, quite too, and the price was really good since I went to the tire Discounter here in Brampton.
I was the only member on this board with a Yellow Focus Sedan, and a 2002+ Euro Facelift on a sedan.

Could I put anything wider than 205s on my zts (04) or will it cause complications? How about 17"ers? I'm currently on 4 pirelli's 205 16" (stock)....just wondering when I get my new tires how much bigger and wider can I go with my car?

Be the change you want to see in this world.
