the 2nd set is pretty compelling to me at $175/wheel and 17lb per wheel

I do like the second set for the stark simplicity of them (The low cost is also an attention grabber)

I see that set also has the BMW centre caps (or at least what looks like 'em) are they BMW issued wheels? That would also be a point in their favour if they were IMO

no, none of these wheels are OE. the first set is BBS CH, the 2nd is Kosei K1 and the third is OZ ultraleggera.

i checked pricing and it turns out the BBS and OZ wheels are around $450 each wheel  not sure i can justify spending that much on cosmetics. :(

the extent of my upgrading may end up being limited a pair of rear OE sport package wheels and tires so I can run 255 wide tires all around instead of just in the rear

The BBS wheels look pretty good on there, thats what I'd be going for wheels.

i just found out that BBS look a like wheels come stock on the 328 coupe

hopefully i can pick em up on the cheap from someone changing their wheels or getting rid of run flat tires

thanks for the suggestion.. i'm reading more about it now and it looks like the offset isn't going to work with serious fender rolling :(
