Hey All, I am planning a few road trips to the US this summer and am looking to see if anyone has a GPS system for their car i can take off their hands..unless you'd know a good place to get it!

i am willing to spend a maximum of about $500.

They have some really good ones at Furture shop/ Best Buy, I was looking at getting one (still might if I get my car back) but definately go check out the stores, unless you can find one used..

If you spend a little bit more you can get a Garmin Quest like mine (It was $550 at the time last year including delivery from GPS Central IIRC)

Voice prompt, turn by turn navigation and auto route recalc if you mess up a turn. Comes with a windshield mount and a speaker that's pretty damn loud at its highest setting :P

This is the model we're looking at getting, or perhaps the Legend if we decide we don't want the compass and whatnot.

The Legend is $300 even off their site, and a similar (and older) Legend that lacks the cabling and CD is $380 at Crappy Tire right now.
