The sad truth is they won't even give you those figures when you go to trade it in.....I went to one place with my old focus and they wanted to give me $4500 !

The "black book" is where the dealer "STARTs" the rest is up to you and how bad they want to sell something. Rule of thumb: Buy at MSRP minus 10%.

LOL that's not bad considering I paid 16K for it and my dealer will give me $21,000.

Ahh the wonderful feeling of not getting stuck with the trade in value of a Ford.
I have a few cars.

One for my dog.
One that has no roof.
One that looks good parked at the golf course.
One that is being rebuilt by a guy named Nero..... will it ever be done?

Focus SE Sedan SPI
No power windows, no comfort group, automatic transmission, no Zetec.

Low: $4,615.00 High: $6,315.00

*shrugs* So in two years' time, it hasn't really depreciated much. We paid 10,995 for it.

Assuming 40% markup on the high value... $8800ish. 50% on the low yields just under $7Gs.

It's a low cost car anyways... we bought it to save money, the resale isnt' really the big selling point. If we wanted that, we all should have bought Honduhs.
