A Short?
#1
Hey, I've got a little problem. When I turn the headlights on, one is in highbeam mode and the other is in low. When I hit the highbeams, they switch, now the other is is high, and the other is low. WTF??? I know it's a short cause of the zap I get from exiting my car. Any ideers where to start? Thanks...

Stock headlight? Or aftermarket?

And the yap could just be static build-up.

The zap is just static electricity buildup, Yes it is good sometimes, I get it all the time in my car, counter with some moisture.

I had a similar problem this week-end. My bulb burnt out on my hellas, not bad for 4 years old :), anyways, whenever I would use the turn signal, my highbeams would come on, when I would complete the turn and the signal turns off, the highbeams would go off.

I took apart my steering coloum and opened up the signal light box (whatever its called), took it out and found metal shavings inside the unit. Dont know where they came from, but I cleaned it out with some rubbing alcohol and used a can of compressed air (the ones you use to clean keyboards). I put it back in, and Im not having the problem anymore....
