If one has there volume turned up really high, and changes a song without turning down the volume first, does that f**k anything?
Stupid Question.

No, but you run the risk of the new song being even louder than the last one sending you that much closer to the land of hearing aids  NefCanuck

Depends, if your blasting it and you have a poorer quality deck and it causes pops when you change tracks you can do damage. The reality is you are prety safe, again if you are using downloaded music, watch for those change in volumes.

It's kinda like revving it up to 6 or 7 grand and dumping the clutch, eventually it may go POP!!! Like everything else you do to cars, depends on the quality of the products. I rarely adjust my volume between songs but then again don't alway s have it cranked right up, I have it semi loud, but not obnoxious. If I do have it pounding I turn it down just to be on the safe side, I've blown my share of subs and mids and a couple amps. Caps are alway s a good thing too, that way you'd be hard pressed to do any damage to anything.

Yeah that too :D but I haven't heard of anyone managing to kill stock Ford speakers with a stock Ford deck (I rev teh stereo up as high as it'll go with some pretty bass heavy stuff, still sounds great) NefCanuck

I could barely stand the stock stereo and hu for a week... you must not have heard a real stereo if your so satisfied with stock parts. Especially with "bass heavy stuff"!
