Same with me. That's the point i'm trying to get to. :)

That's why my new system is one of a kind. It's a H2 12" orion that's hook up on two amps. One amps is puching the subs and the other amp is puching it down. I think Orion is one of the only compagny that does that. I think?

Orion isnt made the same now because its made by shitty DEI... I know all about shitty DEI. my viper amp is made by them. it really is a DEI 2400 except 2 ohm optimized vs 1 ohm

I was gonna get an orion h2. but then i heard one in person... SLOPPY :(

what kind of amp are you gonna run on it?

I had a friend who swore my memphis audio stuff, Everything else sucked. I always heard polk audio sucked balls though

My friend wants to build a realtivly cheap good system, any suggestions? He got a slightly used kick ass shape pioneer primer deck for 150 last week. Very nice and works great. He wants to add to it so any suggestions is awesome?

If he's looking to buy a system, check out SoundWaves Car Audio on Stone Church Rd. in front of Watson's Fitness. That's my cousin's shop.

orion has dropped in quality since the HCCA days, but the 2500d is still a beast. with some companies, you are to an extent buying the name. but there are others that are totally based on performance.

i love:
alpine HU's, processors, and the type r subs
pioneer in dashes
adire components and subs
resonant engineering amps subs and components
focal components
seas components
morel tweeters
peerless tweeters
treo subs and amps
DD subs to an extent
JL w6v2's and w7s, slash series amplifiers, cleansweep, and their home audio cabinet called "gotham"

well, they are expensive but they (9900's and 9500's) also hold most of the spl world records, so it may be a price worth paying. i'm not much of an spl guy, but you have to respect em.

MT has the capabilities but i think it's lacking the experience and modelling that the 9900 and 9500 have gone through because they've been used by so many competitiors. my astro will *hopefully* be rocking two 15" MT's, but for now, i need to get the rest of my parts for my current setup.

not that i know of. when adire re-tooled, moved to a different build house, and redesigned all their drivers, i think they stopped making the brahma extreme.

Damn, that sucks.

Not really a major concern. because i'm more interested in SQ over SPL.
