I've never seen that happen with ANY car.
Are you sure that it's never been in a collision? Some stress fractures would certainly do that. Not every day driving. Never in a million years.
It really looks like someone oversteered the car into a curb, and they just replaced the wheel/tire without checking if the control arm was fractured.
