2003-2004 Focus - Rough / Rolling / or High Idle Or Induction Backfire - Mainly After Cold Start ââ¬â SVT Models Only
Some 2003-2004 SVT Focus vehicles may exhibit a rough idle, rolling idle, high idle, or induction backfire mainly after a cold start. Some vehicles may also exhibit a hesitation or surge at steady cruise. This may be caused by poor intake clamp sealing that may lead to the intake manifold separating at the rubber boots. An intake boot clamp replacement procedure has been developed for these conditions.
