the new board implements yet another captcha device, but I doubt it'll eliminate ALL spambots. But it does support plugins that I can use to look up known spammers in a database, and a new spam button that allows members to quickly and conveniently notify the board of spammers.

And there are other features including integrated user ratings (not sure how that's going to pan out with this group)..

There's also expanded user profiles, a slightly revised calendaring system for events, and a few other features I hope prove useful.

Of course there's going to be some growing pains -- I'm able to migrate everyone's user accounts and posts to the new board, but there will be some glitches in them... hopefully it won't prove too intrusive.
