well, slight change of plans again. since the motor blowing up really pissed me off, ive had lots of changes of thoughts etc..
personally i dont trust the motor in the car right now, i still drive it, but long term i dont believe it will last to long. im going to do a compression and leak down test and see whats up, if its still in good shape, do an oil change and some other bs and run it for another year. if its not in good shape, im going to buy another 2.0l or a 2.3l if i can find one thats decent, so far car part hasnt turned up to many 2.3l's it seems. build the motor gradually so my pocket doesnt get hit so hard and next year take it to the track. ive put a lot into handling on the car so im going to continue that while working on going faster to.
so the new tenative parts list
- LSD
- 225 50 15 tires
- Coilovers
- SVT rear discs (already have em waiting)
- eibach 22mm FSB
- tubular rear control arms
- tubular front control arms
- 3" dp and exhaust
- cossie IM
- exedy hyper single clutch
so build the car up even more for now, then when the time is right toss in a new motor. i have found that PI carries most of the parts i need to build a 2.3l and at a competitive price with fj forum sponsors. with that said i save duty's shipping etc..
looking at wiseco pistons, eagle rods, clevite bearings, ranger crank, arp main and head studs, cometic gaskets and even the 2.3l i can get as they get a wiked price from wreckers LOL
so this will continue however i doubt ill have thr 350whp next yr
