Firestone Destination ST tires
#1
Review regards size 255/55R18 XL-rated, W speed rated tires on 18x8" RX-8 OEM rims. Mounted on a 2008 Ford Escape Limited V6 4WD (USDM) with 5mm spacers in the rear, no spacers in the front.

--------

These tires were not my first nor my second choice. In fact, technically they were my fourth choice - but they were the first complete set that I was able to get shipped in to North Bay.

They're XL load rated, so this preserves my 3500lb towing rating. They're W-rated for speed, so they're not wishy-washy at 140+ Wink The tire itself isn't noisy at all, even at speed. Its design is well thought-out and it does as it's purported to do - it tracks well at speed, handles wet roads like a champ and even does well at -5C or so on wet/icy roads.

I've put over 2000KMs on them so far and I'm impressed. Low noise, great traction, great response, the stiff sidewalls make for a WAY better driving experience than the 235/70R16 Conticraps I had on there. Now I just wish I had better fuel economy in the city :/

I don't regret the purchase one bit.
