This shifter fits early 99-02 focus models after mid 02 they shifter style changed and it wont fit (had that problem with my silver focus) but i installed this same shifter in my black focus (took an SVT shifter housing cuz its metal not cheap plastic, replaced the shifter and hooked it back up, thanks kevin for the free svt shifter haha) and this is def worth the money, shifts nice and smooth everytime.

Plus with this shifter you can delete that pesky reverse safe thing.
