I have a 2007 ZX5 SES and replaced the Pirellis with some General Tire G-MAX AS-03 tires last spring. Bought them on sale at Canadian Tire for $120 reg $163. They are on sale right now at CanTire for $123 (205/50/16). They seem to be better in the wet than the Pirellis (imo). Can't say how they handle winter as I run Nokian Hakkas in the snow.
