Although I've seen numerous posts about a meet this seems fairly reliable. I recognize some people on here that also posted on clubfocus.net yet I don't see it mentioned on here. Anyway this is from "Daven" in Calgary. I've seen him on here before, but I guess he hadn't posted here yet.
It's not an SVTOA event, but I thought some members here might be interested. We are currently organizing a massive Western Canada meet for this summer. The date is scheduled for the June 18-19th weekend. Location will be Calgary Alberta. We have interest from Winnipeg to Vancouver, and even some from Washington.
So far the plan is to book a park with BBQ pits and picnic shelters and whatnot for a day. Have a big cook-out, perhaps head to a pub/bar for a night. There are ideas floating around of going for a cruise through the mountains. Some are planning on camping, some are planning on staying in hotels. It is very much open to new ideas at this point.
