Need Help
#61
My best experience with any garage was with AAMCO for my clutch. For everything they needed to do they called me first and as a proof that they talked to me they always asked me personal questions like my birthdate, last 3 numbers of my SIN etc... I liked that part.

When I took my Audi to the dealer I didn't have to sign anything most of the time. But when I did I always made sure they wrote down to do NO WORK without my permission. Mind you I never had it in for anything that needed ripping apart.

You have to be a smart consumer where ever you go.

I had a freind who went in for new brakes pads at Canadian tire, was supposed to be like $100. When he gets the car back they give him the bill for $1500. They never called him. So he told them to put the car back the way it was because he did not authorize them to do the work. I guess it would have cost them more to remove the new parts and replace with the old because they let him keep it.
