Well, I already changed my signature to include my new kit...got my JVC KD AR5000 head unit, my Power Acoustik LT620 amp, and Power Acoustik 1.4 Farad Capacitor all installed on thursday of last week. My grand total on my system is now $1500, but that's as far as I'm gonna take it all...well, still might replace the stock 5x7's sometime soon, but size wise, I'm not gonna go any bigger. I might end up replacing my subs eventually with ones with a longer X-max ("Get Back" from Luda's "Red Light District" album is a bit of a workout for the ones I have now...lol).
So far I'm pleased with everything...the deck is pretty simple to use, and the on-screen navigation menu's and the voice support make setup pretty easy. The amplifier in the deck is clean sounding, and I get more spl out of my 5x7's now...likely because it's at least 2x more powerful RMS than the OEM deck. Only thing is, with it being touchscreen, I still need to get used to how to touch it so that it responds to you right away. The amp is a little powerhouse, and it really get's my 2 10's to get up and dance properly now. My previous amp was only about 80-86 watts RMS @ 2 ohms stereo, and my new amp is 180 watts RMS @ 2ohms stereo, so the subs play deeper, harder, and a little bit louder too. The definately have more presence than they did before. The cap is a great help now too...I don't have the backlights on my dash or headlights dim anymore when the bass hits hard, and the blue neon and flashing LED's and voltmeter are nice touches at night time...it's almost like having a mini-lazer light show in the back seat when the system is going...lol.
All in all I'm happy...still need to tweak the adjustments on the deck and amp some more, but for the amount of money I have invested now, I can't complain...
