I did a small 'test buy' from the guy who wants to sell me a PW kit. i sent him money for Engine mounts, and if all goes well I might consider buying from him.

at this rate I will still need another $1500 to meet mitches price. and only $400 to meet his price

When is the deadline for this? Also, when you list the price shipped....does that mean shipped from you to me sort of thing? If I buy one, and wanna have my ECU sent to them, will it go directly to them in Michigan?

Should I assume then that if I put the unit on, my clutch will go up in smoke within a few months of the install? I have over 120K on my original transmission, and figure that it will give up the ghost if I almost double the amount of power being fed to it...

i wouldn't assume it but i wouldn't rule it out either.
our black demo car has a good 20,000kms under boost on it with 250fwhp and 210lb/ft and a bunch of track days on the stock clutch without issue. the tranny should be fine unles it already has problems.
if the clutch is on it's last legs then it wouldn't be a bad idea to upgrade but it is not needed if you still have life left in it.
it's like anything, unless you drive the car like a complete ass; power shifting and doing high rpm clutch-dump launches, you shouldn't have to worry about the stock clutch failing on you shortly after the install.
does that mean it's not possible, anything is possible but you should be fine if you are currently not having issues.

and with that big boost kit, youll prolly blow your internals.

youd be better buiying mitchs cams and upgrading your oactant and buying an XCAL2 and getting 40-50 more hp out of it that way, then your stock internals can be left alone.

i'll have all of the BBKs from PW shortly, there were 5 new snouts and 5 pullies made in this latest batch, i got all the pullies and 3 of the 5 snouts! :P

Price will be $440cnd for a PW BBK snout,
price is still to be figured out for the pully. but i will probably offer the snouts on a core basis and have the pullies pressed on the used snouts here to make sure it's done right.

as for the cams, retail on the cams is $850cnd but if you buy one of these kits from me, i'll sell you a set for $650. this deal only applies to kits purchased from me. buy the kit used or from another vendor and you will pay the full retail price.


you do not REQUIRE internal work for the BBK although it is highly suggested. remember it's best not to always listen to people if they have not done it yet and are working off "word-of-mouth" knowledge.
