i had a very emo moment.

this guy i work with just dropped a 2.3L into his 2003 ZX3. its the exact same color as mine and he is pretty much modding it the same way I modded mine.

so i came on here to show him pictures of mine and it was a sad moment lol

ya the new cars are sweet but they don't have that personal value. i havent done a thing to any of them.

he was wanting me to come check it out but i had to get going.

his 2.0L died and he just bought a 2.3L for $1000. he swapped the interior also.

it sucks out here so bad for houses. its worst then edmonton and calgary. to get into anything nice in a good area your looking at about 500-700g which is retarted.

houses in the ghetto that were originally going for 40-60g are up in the 100-200's now. my rents paid 15g for the house we are in now and they were offered 90g for it. but we love the house so much and my rents plan on just giving it to me in a few years.

definitely a sellers market. they said pricing was supposed to come down but i have yet to see much difference and even with the market being flooded now prices still seem really high.

i ended up putting my money into a house in arizona which i am going to start renting to family. just out side of mesa is a small area called queen creek. picked up 4000sq foot house, 3 car garage, pool, 0 landscape for 110g. if the market in the US ever does go back up i could try and sell or i can keep it for when i retire in 22 years.

May I ask if you pay a different property tax rate on your Arizona property because you're a non-resident?

How much rent can you get for that property?

I'm assuming I'm paying the exact same as a resident but when I asked the realtor, he said my taxes are around the same as every ones else's. I honestly didn't care either way since taxes for the year are only $575 and my parents take care of all that stuff.

In the end i will be paying more then a resident since I have to pay for upkeep fees since Im not out there all year around.

Your taxes will be minimum 2X what a resident paid. I recently looked at buying in Arizona and found out my property taxes as a non-resident would be $12000 for a house worth $175,000.

Yup.
My dad pays through the nose.
Hence the reason he's selling the place in Arizona to get one in Fort Myers Florida.

I have friends that have a place down there with the exact same situation with taxes I encountered in Arizona. They pay 4X what a resident of Florida pays.
