if the RS woulda launched ontime it probably woulda been a tie .. the driver was sleeping on the line.

and the reason all these new cars are so much slower for the most part, is because all anyone is ever worried about is fuel millage. Who cars if you gotta put the 4-ways on going up a slight incline .. atleast your getting 30mpg :fag:

I can take Thibeault Hill here at 120+ (7% incline) without grief and still accelerating... or take it steady in 4th at 100+.

4 ways are for truck drivers :D

interesting post though, although if anything it should have been 2 focus against each other rather then an escort and a focus.
I was the only member on this board with a Yellow Focus Sedan, and a 2002+ Euro Facelift on a sedan.

I don't think the driver was sleeping.. the cossy is AWD... there's no way the RS should beat it off the line, and with similar HP numbers, that gives it all the advantage it needs.

Cosworth:

Power: 227HP/220lb-ft
0-60 MPH: 5.7 s
AWD

Focus RS:
Power: 212HP/227lb-ft
0-60 MPH: 6.4 s
FWD

the numbers just match the real life performance.

Judging by the way it left the line, it's geared a hell of a lot deeper than the RS in the first two cogs as well. Makes sense as it is AWD.
