Ok heres the deal,
Called up dixie ford to make an appointment to get my 70,000 KLM checkup and a few things looked at
Leak from thermostat housing, clutch master cylinder leaking and radio not tuning in stations.

Anyway they repaired everything except the radio the Sevice guy said the antenna was broken and if he had to send the radio out he would have to go and get approval from his boss because it would cost $300.00 to send it out. So because he found the antenna broken I figured that was it and told him not to sweat it I'll just pick up another antenna he said no problem. So i get there and of coarse he has gone home for the night, so I turn in the rental and head of to get my car. Buddy charges 1 hour labour to take the broken peice of antenna out of the car. Any they say to me have you ever changed the stero in this sir? I said NO its a stock deck...So NOW I am a little pissed but not to bad. So I pay them before it starts getting stupid (Can't forget I have kids now)
Well my car pulls up and I let it warm up. While in the car I see a dark stain right in the middle of the passenger seat. Now I am past pissed cause I already know what it is Bloody brake fluid from changing my master cylinder. Thank god I didn't get out of the car I swear i would have smacked the first s**t head with Ford on his shirt.

I didn't even bother going back in to the parts counter I was way to pissed off.
I called that Friggin.jerk off the next day and he say's well you should have showed us sir before you drove the car off the lot. How do we know you didn't have a spill in the car.

Piss on them!!!1]
My family has been buyng cars from them for 10 years close to 200,000 worth of vehicles and at least 5 grand in ford performance parts. My warranty is good at any ford.....
I'm not Whistling dixie................

I hate to say it...but you really should have got out and showed them the stain right then and there....

As for the radio issue...how the hell does it cost 300.00 to look at a radio!?..maybe to get a brand-new unit..!?!? WTF?!!?

In any event that sucks..

Stock stereo decks are very expensive. That's why when they break and you're out of warranty it's more economical to go aftermarket. If something is wrong with a stock deck, it's sent out to the manufacturer of the deck and NOT to Ford.

The only reason why I see them asking if you replaced the stock deck is if there was something in there before and they think you did something while removing it. I know people who have pulled out their aftermarket stuff before a dealership repair, so they cover their tracks. However, if a mod went wrong and they try and cover up by going back to stock, dealerships have a right to refuse warranty work because the owner screwed it up.

If you noticed the stain right then and there, you should have said something.

Like I always tell people who don't like the service they receive, whether it's from a dealership or store, there's only so much ranting online will do. Time to call and write into the company, head office, and such.

On the other hand,

Dixie has "generally" been one of the better Ford dealers.

There are many worse ones. I'd like to think I helped to close one of them by complaining to the right people.

I bought a Focus from Dixie, yet have gone to other dealers for repairs and maintenance ever since because I am East end not West, they even did an emergency/no waiting/ temporary rad hose fix on my old Subaru so that I could at least make it as far as Niagara to meet a ship. There was lots of money and more important my reputation was on the line and they understood.

My cost was "shop parts" only, no labour and I was attended to immediatetly.

A lot has to do with personal/dealer relationships. In the case of Dixie I know one of the salesmen and in the case of my Fav Subaru dealer the guy I deal with is fascinated by ships and we've known eachother 10 years because of my old car but in both cases it started with a box of TimBits ™ and a bit of conversation.

Face it, any car will have something go wrong with it eventually. Be proactive and drop by when things are good (not just when they are bad) doughnuts in hand and tell them they are nice people to do business with.

It pays off big time; I've saved thousands. Whenever I am near the airport I always drop by "to kick tires" or "pick up a brochure" at Dixie and remind them who I am and do the same thing anytime I pass Subaru of Mississauga or the local Dodge dealer where I take my elderly mom's car. I always make a point of mentioning my Sprinter love in the case of the Dodge dealer! ;)

2001 ZTS Are you for real!
Drop by and let them know I'm still here.
Dixie ford redeemed them selves in some ways.
They called and said they would detail my interior because of all the issues with the spill.

But what I didn't know was I drove my car for the last 2 weeks with the brake lights on because they fubared the install of the new clutch master cylinder.

Also it slips like a bitch now if i am pushing the car.
Guess I'll tell them about that when it goes in for its Detailing.
Over all I would say I over reacted slightly but don't foget its my money.
