IIRC 268 at the wheels.... didn't even sound stressed doing it either

Not like mine that yelled like a swarm of African killer bees caught in a tornado to get to 108.7 :P

The GTP dyno was a wash......i've been with a few guys that had Dynoed GT's, Montes and they always Dyno in 2nd, regardless of how often you tell them this they still don't listen.

Anyway they dynoed in Drive, and the GTP kept hitting the speed limiter.
So Jay, I guess I can say my car goes faster than yours until you get chipped

I noticed a couple of things, I don't know if they're issues per se, but I'm comparing them to mine (Stock '05 Duratec 2L)

1) Your a/f mixture drops below 12 at around 5K RPM, on mine the drop doesn't occur until around 5,700 RPM. What motor are you running? I'm wondering if a tune would fix that (The guy I spoke to at DaSilva told me that a Steeda CAI & a tune would fix my drop out)

2) Your torque curve is flat for the most part (which is a good thing) *except* for two blips upwards just before and after 4,500RPM. Any drivability issues around that RPM range? (If you're driving an autotragic like me, you're never seeing that rev range unless you're into pounding the snot out of your car  )

Malby = Zetec y0....

only engine avaliabe in the hatches.

Sounds like he has a factory freak though. Numbers are pretty high for the mods on the car.

or they got their dyno retuned. I remember someone with all the bolt ons pulling 120 last year.

hey i just found this post its kinda funny that you guys were talking about my car and now here i am. but ont thing i didn't blow my motor although i did blow a piston and it was ticking pretty bad. Thats what happens when you hit 10 PSI daily on a stock Zetec.

How long did you run your car for, how many km's with the kit on it?

I drive my car, usually hit 7400RPM daily @ 9psi...15k on the car with s/c now....
64,000km's total on the car...

Yeah we saw that, its not the best design, it makes it real simple for piping because you don't need to worry much about space/angles etc, but you get that requirement for a pump since it sits to low for gravity feed.

If your car ran hard and didn't have enough oil that would for SURE be why it had issues :P

yaa im going to try to see if i can relocate the pump and seal up the lines real well so nothing leaks. that should prevent any future problems.

Car did look ok, never a fan of those kits, all those extra parts add up to the "Things that can go wrong" list.

As stated, GTP was hitting the speed limiter at 4500rpm..it breaths nice from 4500-6500...so didn't stretch it's legs at all.

It's a Series II BTW.

P.S.

Dyno only went up to 4500rpm but had 221whp and 289ft. lbs torque.

:)

If reved to redline should be at least 245-250whp.
