Yeah it eclipses the 6800 GT 256MB cards, and runs neck and neck with the 6800 Ultras. The only thing it can't do is SLI, and although I even have a SLI board... ATI's IQ (Image Quality) has been the industry leader in the last 2-3 years. Can't say no to that.

Half-Life 2, 1280x1024, 6xAA, 16xAF, details maxed - 60-85FPS everywhere, 120+ at walls and simple areas.

Just ask Oscar. :)

Anyone else playing JO:TR or JO:E right now?

I'd love to bud, but I only have a 17" CRT :)

If I go to the 19" LCD I want, most are 1280x1024 too :)

Splinter Cell isn't all that demanding... I've played the demo, and it didn't cripple my old box.

Well if a a64 4000+ plus a ati850xt can only get low 40's in that resolution ... its demanding.

;)

And it has nothing to do with bigger balls ... its called .. piss of the nerds who think their computers are the best and watch them come up with excuses. Trust me im not a computer nerd in the slightest nor do I care about resolutions on games.

Ps... time to worry less about video and upgrade that monitor... =P
