Svt Guys - A Quick Question
#1
I'm in the process of confirming this, but does the SVT FoFo use a dual-stage intake manifold setup?

Cause if it does... WE'RE BROTHERS! No, seriously, does it?

Yes, Yes it does. But our system is shitty and plastic, and tends to break alot.

From the factory our DSI engages at 6000 rpm. After the YFR0 Flash it engages at 5000 rpm

Haha, i prefered the 6000rpm dsi. it sounded so much more pissed off.

Ahh OK. I just finished modding my dual-stage intake on the SPI and it occured to me... why can't the SVT guys do it too?

I haven't heard of anyone trying, but it's interesting for sure.

You got a pic of the clip? I wanted to rig up something a little more... sturdy than zip-ties for my mod, but was in a rush, and the ziptie has held out for now.

By disconnecting the DSI you are either reducing low end torque (keeping the DSI open) or reducing high end power (keeping the DSI closed). The DSI on the SVT creates short runners for high end power and closes to keep long runners for low end torque. altering either of the functions will really affect your SVT's performance. Unless there is something pushing the air in ;)
