Bolt Circle Of 2005 Zx5
#1
I just bought a 2005 ZX5 SES, it comes with 16x6 rims with 205/50/16 tires. I'm looking to get Winter Tires and Steel Wheels. BUT there seems to be some confusion on the Bolt Circle of the 2005 Focus. I'm getting two conflicting pieces of information, One has to believe that the Bolt Circle is the same as the 2004 4x108mm, the other is that it has changed to 4x114.3mm. The Dealer tells me over Email that it has changed to 114.3mm (41/4"). But I wouldn't trust a Dealer as far as I can throw him. Other websites tell otherwise. When I take a ruler out the answer is somewhat inconclusive, but reads more like 108mm.

So, I come to a Focus dedicated Forum to find out the truth.

What is the Bolt Circle of the 2005 Focus wheels?

Anyone.

Great "handle", I think you are going to get along well with everyone here.

Wheels remain 4x108 unless I've been stuck under a rock.

I have 185/65R15 Nokians on steel wheels for winter.

If you are in Torontp Dave at Steelcase Tires 'n' Mags can hook you up and mention the "Focus Club". A good option for points west is "rubberman" who is also a memeber. These days their are lots of options.

I wouldn't even look at Steelcase Tires and Mags. They seem to have a thing for customer service: they don't like to give it.

Talk to rubberman about tires. He's hooked up a great number of us on this site, and with no regrets. I myself have bought 18 tires from him... no disappointments yet

I'm thinking 108mm too.

http://www.tiretrends.com seems to beat everyone I've called so far. They are in Vancouver, so no PST tax :) , but $75 shipping :( , but they come all assembled ready to go. :)

I'm in the Ottawa area. I'll be sure to come back and sign in from time to time, now that I have a new Focus, which is loads of fun.

Thanks Guys!! (or Gals. . . or Confused) :D

What the hell have you been doing to your tires!?

I've bought:

-4 all season for 91 Subaru
-4 winters for 91 Subaru
-4 winters for 01 Focus
-4 winters for 04 Subaru
-4 summers for 04 Subaru
-1 replacement summer for 01 Focus

Thats only 21 vs your 18, it took 6 years and I've always had 2 and up to 3 cars in the driveway at one time? I still have my original Focus all seasons.

I have no doubt rubberman has great deals but it is just not worth the drive/time in my case. It's the difference between a day off or getting it done over the lunch hour to me.

Regardless of where you go or what you get NEVER BUY THROUGH A DEALER! They wanted $75/ea for OEM 14" steel wheels, tires extra.

Yeah 4x108mm or 4x4.25

Any Focus, Contour wheel will fit considering i use 95 Contour wheels for my snows. Mustang and tempo are the same but the wheels will not fit. I have seen Svt Focus wheels on an 87-93 mustang. I just can't remember if it was in Calgary or Vernon B.C.

All of you are right. The Dealer was smoking drugs or something. See, never trust a Dealer, they don't have a clue whats going on. I swear, this is not the first time they have mislead me.

108mm is the Bolt Circle of 2005 and will continue to be for some time.

4 1/4 = 108mm
4 1/2 = 114mm

And http://www.tiretrends.com is the cheapest price on tires I have to date. I have 6 quotes from local Ottawa tire shops and even with shipping TireTrends beats them by $150-$200 ($350+ if we are talking Dealer price). Same Tire, same wheels all mounted.

Thanks to All. My next phone call is TireTrends.
