#1
Hey. Was going to use the walk though to make my shorty antenna today but some dick took em down.

Basicly I need to know how to get the antenna ( With out removing the base if possible) off the room and where to cut it.

Unthread the mast, boil the cap off, use a pipe cutter to cut it to your length, using hacksaw etc frays the plastic carbon type rod, then heat the cap to push back on. thread back on.

questions?

Take off antenna.
Use heat gun to get tip off.
Cut with hack saw.
sand freys (if any)
insert top back on.

Spray it with some WD-40.

If not, just keep reaming on it. It'll go!

Yeah, sometimes the cease on like white corrosion, i broke two at the junk yard that way getting antennas off, not the smartest design. if the base breaks they aren't hard to change and don't cost a huge amount of money. ($10.71) DON'T TOSS THE ANTENNA, use pentrating fluid soak the stud and you can work it out with your thumb most cases
