Well, as most of you know, I'm gonna be in Kabul Afghanistan in Camp Julian starting next week (leave this Thursday...pretty scary reminding myself that actually...lol!), but I am coming back to Canada for about 2 weeks, plus a day or two starting March 17th. I'm gonna be getting a couple more things done to my car during that time, and I'm wondering if anyone else would like to have a meet then? It can either be in the Ottawa river region (so members from Petawawa, Pemmbroke, North Bay, and Ottawa regions could maybe attend), or we could have a meet in Southern Ontario...maybe even in Brantford...
Just putting some ideas together...I know thats a little ways away, but figured I'd start thinking about it now...I'll be able to talk more about this topic online once in a while from Kabul (we have internet access in the camp)...

It's straight across 17 for me, or right down 11/400, so either works. I dont mind Ottawa, they just need more restaurants downtown!!!
But the Lord Elgin's not a bad place to stay.

Well, I think that the members in the "Ontario East Travel Area" should try and have a regional meet, and depending on the date/dates that we come up with, then maybe people from Montreal and T.O might feel inclined to come out this way too...
But for those of you interested so far, I'll try and think of some dates then when I'll be back in Canada and will be able to come back up here (have to coz I'm getting some FC parts from someone up here anyways). It'll be cool though, I don't know much about Ottawa at all...I've only been there like 4 times, and 2 of those times were in the middle of the night...
Well, we'll have to wait and see who came come out then, and I'll see if I can sort out a time and place (maybe people from southern Ontario and North Bay areas can arrange to meet up in Petawawa or Pembroke and then head to Ottawa from there...)

last time we had a meet in ottawa, we had more people from montreal quebec etc.. than from ontario (even ottawa).. they figured out their own little meet there to drive here and then when they got here, i tried escorting most to some car show.. we went for a drive in Gatineau Park .. ended up being pretty good even though i wasn't prepared to be the "host" of anything....
im sure they'd be up for it if theres was a date or something

Ok...well, I'm supposed to be back in Canada by the 17th of march...so I was thinking that perhaps have a meet sometime around the 20th maybe...I don't even know what day that is.
I was also thinking that the people coming from southern ontario and Northbay areas could meet up in Petawawa or Pembroke first, and then make their way down to Ottawa from there...just a thought...I guess for some people, it's gonna have to be a wkd thing, since it's a good 6 hrs drive from the GTA to Pet, and another 60-90 mins to Ottawa from there. Accomodation is cheap up in the Pet/Pembroke area anyways...The people from Quebec and Ottawa can figure out somewhere for the rest of us to meet up with them once we get to Ottwa...
I'll go and take a look at the calendar and come up with some actual dates, and then some of you can get back to me ok?

hehe Toronto eastside, westside, central should all meet up some where and then parade to Ottawa and meet up with everyone else....hehe would be cool to have all the focus parked in front of parliment, make a good picture :rolleyes:
