To Those Who Dyno-ed Their Cars Today At Dasilva..
#1
For all participants today, please email me the following:

- max hp
- max torque
- mods you've done

I want to compile a listing as an informal gauge. Between the folks that have dynoed their cars today, we probably have a good cross-section of what minor modding will get.

(Don't worry, we won't use your real name B) )

Again, thanks to everyone who came out. Thanks especially go to Diego, Murray, Joe, and the entire crew at DaSilva Racing.

Yeah...lots of the mustang guys were saying the same thing. We had dyno weekend last weekend at Dasilva's. The dyno numbers seemed a bit low.

Um those numbers are really low for the mods you have listed I think you should be in the 124whp range

That is low my Focus made more power than that stock. Hmmmm you guys pulled in 4th right?
I have a few cars.

One for my dog.
One that has no roof.
One that looks good parked at the golf course.
One that is being rebuilt by a guy named Nero..... will it ever be done?

just IMHO, dynos should be used to compare before mods and after mods, and also to assure stuff like injector duty cycle and A/F are good and safe.

you guys shouldn't be getting hung up over peak power #s

I agree the Dyno was a little low...

2002 SVT Focus
JRSC
K&amp;N cone filter.
Quaker State Synthetic 5w30
Motorsport plug wires
One step colder Ford plugs gapped at .040
32,000 km's

<a href='http://members.rogers.com/rthoma2552/Dyno1.jpg'>[Image: Dyno1.jpg]</a>

Ignore the spike in the torque. They were having trouble picking up spark and when the tach cut out briefly the torque went up a little...

2002 ZTS Automatic w/ 155,000 km
- Ford Racing underdrive pulley
- K&amp;N drop-in air filter element

<a href='http://www3.sympatico.ca/richard.lee5/imgs4boards/dyno.jpg'>[Image: dyno.jpg]</a>

On average:
- 100.56 hp @ 5,250 rpm
- 104.92 lb ft @ 4,700 rpm

From what I've read, that's about on-par. However, seeing how I've got that much miles on the car...dang! I really thought mileage would have reduced the numbers.

Out of everyone that dyno-ed, I was pretty much stock Zetec configuration. Still, if the numbers were underrated, then I may have been a bit higher by about a pony or two.

No wonder everyone has their own views of dynos
