Anybody have the how-to for adding a 10" to the stock sub box
#1
I have been searching around on the other 2 U.S. forums for the how to modify the stock sub box to accept a 10" sub, but I cannot find it anywhere. The original thread on FF has had the first post deleted. Does anyone recall how this is done? I remember something like having to cut a piece off the inside and glue an ABS cap over the hole.

Does anyone have a copy of this how-to?

After taking out my box and removing the sub it would seem that I have one of the odd ball boxes. Thanks Johnny (Scorcher000). LOL. Time to dig out the Jig Saw and MDF and fab up a new front pannel. I should hopefully have this project completed by Monday for a BOOMING presentation on Monday night. New 6X8 doors, 10" sub, and 400W amp.

Well it isn't like the boxes in any of the how too's I have seen. It is out of an 05 ZX5. Nothing on the back to cut or fill other than the hole for the mounting bolt. The box is too shallow to get the sub all the way in. So I am going to cut open the face, mount some MDF over the front and use body filler to smooth the whole thing out.

'05 ZX5? All the how-to's are for the SVT box...
I didn't even know you could get the Audiophile setup past '04 AND not on SVT's!

Sounds cool, but have you thought of using an aftermarket 8" driver and a bigger aftermarket amp? I'm going to do this in my Escape...
