So the center console and dash are the only thing silver inside the car. I think I want to change that...

Should I paint or wrap it?

Paint - I would just do it flat/low gloss black or a dark gray.
Wrap - would do something with a texture or maybe a pattern. Something subtle though. Not usually a carbon fiber fan, but if I did a dark cf I think it could look good.

If wrap, where would you recommend ordering it from?

This is what it current looks like, excuse the dirtiness...

Did you ever consider putting leather on the list?

Of the two choices I say "paint it"
2008 Fusion SEL MTX - DD1 * 2009 Fusion SEL - DD2 * 2007 Focus ZXW - R*I*P * 2004 Focus ZTW CD Silver - sold * 2004 Focus ZTW Black - sold * 2003 Focus ZTW Black - sold * 2001 Focus ZTW Gold - sold * 2000 Focus SE Wagon (ZTW option) - Black - sold * 2000 Focus SE Wagon (ZTW option) - Gold R*I*P

2003 Focus ZX5 infra-red Track Rat - R*I*P
2003 ZX5 CD Silver Track Rat - retired, but still in the driveway

New track rat: 2000 ZX3, Atlantic Blue * JRSC with lots more to come

* New Zetec crate motor - NFG - thanks Topspeed *

Leather?
No... how would I wrap the pieces in leather for an affordable price?

Well I suppose - OTH there are lots of people who like carbon fibre, or faux wood or brushed aluminum on their dash and not a piece of it anywhere else in the car.

Going by that rule I guess you should consider putting cloth or vinyl on the plastic pieces.

IMO leather trim on the dash with matching leather on the boot often looks pretty classy.

Yeah, I think in the focus I just want simple, subtle, cheap and easy.

Going to make a trip to my paint place and see what they recommend for paint/dye and prep.

This is true... very true. nice thing is if he sells it or wants to change it you can peel it off. He can get "flexidip" by rustolium from home Depot for $10 a can lol. Not sure how close it is to plastidip but I assume it's similar

I didn't want to do plasti dip because its not terribly great in rubbing surface and has a weird texture.

Normal paint will chip/flake.

I went to my local paint shop and they hooked me up with a coating that with allow the trim paint (satin black) to bond properly.
Hopefully all goes well, going to do it this weekend.

Dirty interior, but I'm pretty happy with the results!
The black adds a nice contrast but isn't as out of place as the silver.
