I doupt it.. this would be to check what code the ecu gives when you have a check engine light.. and to clear them.. then you can look up what the code means.. yes the xcal2 does that but it does a whole lot more than checking/clearing codes.

Xcal2 reprograms and restores tunes, as well as doing everything the obd2 reader does (clearing/reading codes)... not to mention the price difference!
