2006 Focus - Popping Noise When Turning
Some 2006 Focus vehicles produced before 12/05/2005 may exhibit a popping noise when turning that sounds like it is internal to the steering gear but may not be caused by the steering gear. If this concern occurs replace the outer tie rod ends and retest. If the concern still occurs than follow normal diagnostics and repair as necessary. Engineering is investigating this concern.
