My rents bought me a deck today as a gift, hooked it all up, runs great, sounds good, very nice deck but it doesn't pick up radio stations well at all... Is there anything i can check and the antenna is hooked up to it.

do you have a shorty antenna?


the antenna wire INSIDE the deck itself could be defective......


but i'd check to see if you antenna is hooked all the way up behind the deck first.

No shorty antenna, it's in my 88 ranger... One radio station comes in clear as a bell but the rest is all static. Plug is all the way in the connector on the deck.

my sony cdx-m3di deck is the exact same way .. i can get maybe 1-2 stations really clear, and the others are all crappy and work off and on

Have the deck tested where ever they got it.
Best buy and furture shop both test for free usually. If you still have this issue go to canadian tire and pick up a signal booster. ;)
