Okay as per Mapquest.ca

Ottawa ---> Bowmanville = 233.86 miles ( 4 hrs )

Bowmanville ---> 5173 DRYDEN AVE = 76.74 miles (1 hr 23 mins )


So if we leave Ottawa at 8am, then we should be ontime for pickup in Bowmanville ( minor delays not accounted for) at 12.00pm then off to the BBQ for a ETA of 1:30 pm ( minor delays not accounted for ) !!

Can't wait for Saturday!! For those of us leaving Ottawa, I suggest we all meet at the Pinecrest (IKEA) parking lot at 8am, gased up and ready to go. There is a shell station nearbye, and a starbucks out front... I think we should park at the end of the IKEA lot (facing the 417). ummmm... I have a few walkie talkie we can bring, and my navigator dude would love to play with, so I'll make sure they're equipped with fresh batteries.

Other than that, I think we're golden!!!

I'm thinking 417 to the 416, which brings us to the 401 at Kemptville (brings us outside Manotick, North Gower, etc.)... it's the most direct route.

Also, for those of you who are thinking of joining up with us, could you PM either myself or zx3guy with your cell number... that way if we're running early or late, we can get a hold of you

I'm going to make my g/f's dad take her to her driving test on Saturday so I can make it with the convoy........I'll just buy her something real nice to make up for it. If that don't work I guess i will try the charm that got me with her...lol....probably won't work and then all i have is just drop anchor and ride out the storm for a couple of weeks.

So you are probably going to have to decide which is worst........the complaints for a day or two of how you talked about cars only, Or the potential of a couple of weeks of dog house (or it never truley going away.....brought up in future conflicts) All I can tell you is good luck and Gods speed my son........
