Some Paint Overspray
#1
Hey Micro

Here is one for you, I got some over spray on the hood of the car and i like to make it smooth once more. What do you recomend?

I was also considering on doing the whole car with rubbing compund? what do you think? should i do this before the 3 stage wax?

mo..

claybar..

thats what you need!

I can recommend the meguairs or mother's brand kits!

they each have a claybar, spray, and wax/cleaner

either of those can be found at crappytire for around $20-25....

Claybarring is super easy and you'll be blown away by the s*** thats on your car that you couldnt see!!!!!

If the overspray doesnt come off with the bar, you may need to used a rubbing compound or give the car a varsol bath ( I can explain that later if necessary)

Mo, Bunny got rid of the overspray when i had the roof painted and some turd, who didn't know how to paint and blend.

You might not be able to get the overspray out, because i clay barred the truck last year without success.

But with bunny and his orbital, he cleaned my roof edge right up.

This is true..but not everyone has an orbital..in fact i only know 2 people on the board that do...and they are not just apickup and go tool....specially the foam pad that i used for your roof...

seconds and it'll burn the paint...if you dont know what you are doing!

I'm tryin to give advice for the normal detailers here...

stuff that all of us can do by ourselves!

I have been a Pro Detailer for about 12 years now
i highly recomend the mothers Claybar over Meguairs.
Although after claying your car i wouldnt use anything but meguairs products to finish the car.

Fair enough..

I find the meguiars clay to be softer and easier to work with...

however both companies and kits are terrific quality!

I too am using the mother's kit.

Fantastic.

Also, Mo, you won't need the whole bar, cut it in half and use the rest in the fall!
