My Supervisor Is A Prick
#1
*rant on*
I work in a call center for an ISP..

So, we get monitored twice a week for QA... ok fine, I think its retarded, but whatever. I have no issues with my calls.

On the sheets they use, we can score max of 22 for the call. Since I've started here over a year ago, the lowest I've ever gotten was a 21.

So I get some irate woman on the phone who wants to cancel. Of course, I'm being monitored. She doesn't want to know anything except to get canceled. So I don't bother her for her username to look up her account, and transfer her to customer service. (Shes already mad, why make it worse?)

So I get a 0 because I didn't ask for her stupid username. And I can almost guarantee, that if I had, my stupervisor would have just told me "it was a transfer, i'll get your next call"..

He comes up to me, and says, well heres your 0. I said ok, i'll add it to the rest of my 21s and 22s. I'm sure it will be overlooked when Kevin does my review.

He nitpicks the dumbest s***.

pfft, i wish i had supervisors like that. My supervisors are nazis!. I walked off my job area for 30 seconds, DOING a part of my job and he came after me. I was like wtf, get a life you bastard :P .
Oh the same guy tried to get all the people on my job fired the week before too, and we didn't even do anything wrong! ERR.

And they wonder why nobody wants to stay for overtime...

Ohh, and he stares at me for the entire length of the shift. Next time he stares, were going to get everyone in the building to gather around and stare back :P

Ha, imagine this scenario:

I was off sick during the big PC upgrade last week and when I get back our office manager's accounting software isn't working with the backups because the backup was made with a patched version of the program. So get the patch and install and everything is cool right? As if...

It takes me over an hour to get the necessary patch because I have to go chasing down our registration information because the office manager doesn't have it (Not with the program, not anywhere then I have to chase after our IT "support" for a day because they've locked down our systems to the point where you need admin rights to install updates (Meanwhile the OM is bitching me out that IT isn't responding fast enough to our call <_< )

Now The damn accounting package won't let us enter new entries in May... damn I shoulda stayed sick

Daniel, you do way more legwork for IT stuff than you ought to be doing. It almost sounds like your incompetent IT staff is causing you to get flak from your boss. I say f*** em and let them take the fall.

Unless you actually are IT?

I do way more IT stuff than I should simply because the IT staff generously provided by our funder can't find their exit holes with a map, flashlight and a pair of sherpa guides <_< and now we're having printing issues that are being generated by the new centralized printing scheme downtown, meaning that I get to hear the bitching and moaning about it while the help desk does the "hear no evil. see no evil, speak no evil" act.

Funnily enough, the head of the Help Desk has moved on to "other challenges" as of two days ago. I think he fled before I ended up going postal and showing up there with my cane and an AK-47 <_<

Thank god we didn't let them touch our laptops

Makes dealing with my actual clients seem relaxing by comparison
