I must admit I was a little surprised at the interest shown in the thread about the Edge and Flex rear wiper replacements ...
but having said that, I will be buying some for my two wagons because frankly the price is right with the discount I can get, and I think it makes a big difference to the way the car looks; and probably works better than the crapola one we get with Focus.
So here's the deal ... with about 10 participants the shipping cost works out to our advantage and I can bring in these items for the following bottom line cost:
Edge rear wiper for ZX3 and ZX5... 38.00 CAD GTA price all-in including taxes.
(includes nut cover, arm, and blade - compares to Ford Canada price of 47.77 - a savings of more than 20%)
Flex rear wiper for ZTW, ZXW ... 28.00 CAD GTA price all-in including taxes.
(includes integral nut cover, arm, and blade - compares to Ford Canada price of 37.75 - a savings of more than 25%)

Are you certain the Flex wiper is correct for the wagon? I only ask because I got burned on the Mazda wiper craze in the past. Thankfully the seller was good enough to take it back. If so,

Someone (Canada SVT?) bought one at Terrace Ford and installed it on their ZTW and posted a pic in that other thread - that's what convinced me that I wanted some for my wagons.

Are both the Edge and Flex "dealer only" as far as replacement blades?
I have a Mazda3 arm/blade now.... and the blade is a dealer only part.
The Edge replacement blade appears to be a dealer only part as well.
Any bigger pics of the Flex arm/blade?
Put me down for a Flex!
I know it's smaller than the ZX3/Edge/mazda3, but with my wing i don't get that much on my back window to clean.

My understanding is that they are both dealer only replacements ... and thanks hardkore - getting close to the tipping point.

Correct - the original hatch wiper is 18" long and the wagon is 16" ... so the Flex wiper is likely 2" shorter than the Edge wiper - can anyone confirm that by actual measurement?
