Looking For Speakers - 02_svt_guy - 04-19-2007 Looking for speakers for my svt . need ideas. should i go component? i dont want anything to powerful that i would need a 4ch amp looking for some speakers to run off my h/u Looking For Speakers - ANTHONYD - 04-19-2007 Components are the way to go if you have the bread. If you don;t want to go components, I reccomentd the Boston Acoustic FX8's They're about 299.00 a pair and are an exceptional speaker for the money. ![]() Looking For Speakers - 02_svt_guy - 04-19-2007 i can get alpines type-r at 100$ new in box should i get a pair for the front and do like most and just disconnect the rears? or if i disconnect the rears dont cheap out and just get some components? I've got them both front and rear in my wagon, and they're great. Question: Is this for the stock radio? It could affect your selection. Looking For Speakers - FocusGuy7476 - 04-19-2007 +3 on the Boston FX8 for composite speakers, sound great in a focus. Looking For Speakers - audionut405 - 04-19-2007 Personally I had a pair of Alpine's at one point and their not a bad little speaker. Would I buy them again? Doubt it. Get a decent set of components up front. The difference between a coxal and component is night and day. But don't disconect the rears. That is where you get your stageing. If you decide to go components, wire them up to their own amp. If you run them off the H/U they will sound like average coxals. They need their own power source to bring them to life. Looking For Speakers - 02_svt_guy - 04-19-2007 I have a h/u so ill prob look in to these fx8's thnx guys |
