Components are the way to go if you have the bread.

If you don;t want to go components, I reccomentd the Boston Acoustic FX8's

They're about 299.00 a pair and are an exceptional speaker for the money.

I'll second the vote for the FX8's. I've got them both front and rear in my wagon, and they're great.

Question: Is this for the stock radio? It could affect your selection.

Personally I had a pair of Alpine's at one point and their not a bad little speaker. Would I buy them again? Doubt it.

Get a decent set of components up front. The difference between a coxal and component is night and day. But don't disconect the rears. That is where you get your stageing.
If you decide to go components, wire them up to their own amp. If you run them off the H/U they will sound like average coxals. They need their own power source to bring them to life.
