I'd go F-150, personally. Do you want 4WD or 2WD?
Also, why not go a few years' worth of used? Save lots of coin and get something that will still likely outlast your needs. Also, at least with Ford, if the factory bumper-to-bumper hasn't expired you can extend it out to 7 years / 150,000 for a multitude of different types of coverage. The Escape just rolled over 112k and it's warrantied to 150k. On everything, and I mean everything. Whatever floats your boat. I got a wicked deal on my Ram, and it's treating me well so far. This week it's a 5.9L wheelbarrow, hauling excess soil from Oscar's place to mine.
