Lesson learned. Don't go to the dealer unless it is warranty. I learned that a long time ago and will NEVER go to the dealer for additional work. Mind you, none of my cars now have warranty. :D

Why is the fuel pump so much?

I remember buying "SVT Focus" pumps from the dealer which included the entire basket assembly as well and list price was no where close to what you were quoted.

2002 Focus ZX5: SVT Air Box/Snorkel with K&N, SVT Catback, KYBs, DBA slotted rotors/EBC Ultimax

Wouldn't it be cheaper to just get a racing pump retro fited and a Fuel Cell.
But either way dealers suck when it comes to hard economic times.
Currently - 2014 GMC Sierra 1500 SLE 4X4 Work Truck. Needs a Super Charger
2012 F150 Eco Boost Work Truck < Died several times and now it's some farmer problem.

I guess I won't comment as Discovery has contacted my employer in the past requesting I stop telling people how sh*t they are.

Oops, I suppose that was a comment, eh Frank?
