Cars From Cuba
#1
While I was in Cuba last week I snapped some pics of cars down there. I'd say that about 20% of the cars are still the old original American cars from the 1950s. After Fidel Castro took over, no more American cars, a mixture of Russian cars (mostly Ladas) and some obscure European cars (Pugeuot, Citroen, Seat, old Fiats) and Asian cars (Kia, Daishu, Mitsubishi) but nothing mfg on North American soil.

Reminds me of some of the cars I saw in Reno. Southern climates are a car's best friend.

33" BFG Mud-Terrain KM2s, lots of Rough Country gear - bumper, 2.5" lift, swaybar disconnects, Superwinch 10,000lb winch, Detroit Locker in rear D44 axle, custom exhaust, K+N filtercharger, Superchips-tuned.

Daily driver 2: 2006 Subaru Legacy GT

yeah you have to love Cuba for the weather and vintage cars, its not uncommom for some of those oldes to have 1,000,000 miles on them by now either.
I was the only member on this board with a Yellow Focus Sedan, and a 2002+ Euro Facelift on a sedan.

I remember when I was there I saw all those 50's american cars driving around blowing out smoke like a diesel does.

none of them seemed to be rusting or anything.

Nice cars. The only reason I'd go to Cuba.
Old enough to know me limit, yet young enough to exceed it.
