Ford decontented the hell out of the Focus especially from 01 to 04 - including things like rear inner fenders and all kinds of stuff like that, including the rear heat ducts in 04 - all as a cost savings effort.

But they never took away the heat shields. Maybe it's just me but I think that means something and so I'm inclined to keep them.

with my focus's they usually rust...Dodgy and i just pull them off.... havnt had any problems without them....id only keep them on if they're actually protecting something (brake/fuel lines)
