My phones dying and I'm going to get straight to the point

Worth it do it yourself? Time and tools required? Cost if had someone else do it? Putting cam gears in at same time?

I did mine myself in my drive way....took a weekend, ull need a metal plate sorta thing to keep the cams from turning once the belt off, other then that theres no other special tools ull need...do the water pump while your in there. as for worth getting a shop to do it....it'll be expensive....if your capable do it your self...just dont f*ck up the timing!Big Grin

The only part that sucks about doing timing yourself and swapping the cam gears is holding the cams and cam gears solid while trying to torque the camgear bolts. Which also you should replace with arp... I stripped 2 stock sets of camgear bolts trying to torque them down
05 focus se SLAMMED! 5 speed tranny swap with exedy stage 3 hypersingle clutch, raceland coils, MBRP exhaust, FSWERKS stage 2 turbo kit. Massive adjusting camber, toe arms. Steeda's HUGE rear sway bar with upgraded links. Roll bar in the back no backseats. no radio and tons of gauges!

...because RACECAR! haha
